The Reishi medicinal mushroom
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum, also known as the glossy lacquer mushroom, Ganoderma lucidum, Ling Zhi) is undoubtedly one of the best-known medicinal mushrooms. In Chinese medicine, it is referred to as the ‘mushroom of long life’ or the ‘mushroom of immortality’ and is highly prized. Reishi contains a wide range of essential compounds. This medicinal mushroom is described in detail in naturopathy, and there are numerous studies on its constituents. It has a very broad range of applications and is therefore also referred to as the ‘all-rounder’ amongst medicinal mushrooms.

Recommended intake
Take 3 capsules daily with approximately 1/4 litre of water. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Side effects: Depending on individual sensitivity, reactions such as indigestion, nausea, headaches or skin reactions may occur initially (particularly at higher doses). This is due in no small part to the general cleansing and detoxifying effects of medicinal mushrooms, which is their natural function. In such cases, reduce the dose and introduce it gradually. To be on the safe side, consult your doctor or therapist.
