Chaga Mushroom: A Superfood
More than 30% of the chaga’s DNA structure is not plant-based but matches human DNA. The wild chaga mushroom is characterized by extremely high antioxidant levels: an ORAC value of 153,000 μTE/100g (tested by the USDA, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Tufts University in Boston, MA).
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) grows primarily in Russia, but is also found in parts of Japan, Korea, Alaska, Canada, and northern Scandinavia. Although chaga grows on common white birch trees, the strongest and most effective variety is found on black birch trees in Siberia, the exclusive harvesting region for Bearmedicine’s chaga.
Mumijo - A Super Booster for the Immune System
In folk medicine, mumijo was called “the gift of the gods,” and for many thousands of years it has been used as a powerful immune system booster. From the 1950s through the 1980s, extensive studies on the therapeutic applications of mumijo were conducted at Tashkent University in Russia, and the following main indications were identified: immunomodulation, post-fracture care, and gastrointestinal mucosal disorders (e.g., gastritis).

Serving Suggestions
